A few weeks ago, we hosted our third annual Member Appreciation Week (MAW)–our way of saying “thank you” to the thousands of HR professionals within our Member network from over 900+ companies. As a token of our appreciation, we sent out gift packages complete with cozy DE socks and popcorn because, well, our Members truly knock our socks off! To make things even more fun, we asked our Members to take photos in their new socks and post them on social using #DEMAW19, and some great interaction ensued. We even caught one of our board members, Jonathan Liepe from Colorado Springs Utilities (CSU), wearing them at a recent Colorado ILG Meeting! From there, we chose two winners to pick a deluxe DE swag item of their choice. Congratulations to Jonathan Liepe (CSU) and Josh Rock (Fairview Health) on your fancy new gear!

Of course, there were more giveaways and freebies throughout the week. On day two we announced the winners of our 2019 Connect Summer Challenge. Congratulations to Ben Marich (TAD PGS, Inc.), Jonathan Liepe (CSU), and Tammi Hammersley (Navigant Consulting)! On top of that, our friends at Recruit Rooster offered one lucky winner a free career site accessibility audit, which was awarded to Lita Strubhar of CED.

Day three provided Members a 15% discount on our eLearning platform, DE Academy, while day four presented an exclusive offer for DEAMcon20 and the chance to win a VIP conference experience complete with special swag, preferred seating, and more! This exciting opportunity was awarded to David Ayers of ABF Freight. Congratulations, VIP!

The final day of Member Appreciation Week brought a feature on our DE Member Mentors & Ambassadors – our ultra-engaged Members who are dedicated to spreading the word about Association happenings and helping their fellow Members navigate membership. We also offered one last chance to win. This time, two Members would be awarded with free National Employment Law Institute (NELI) Affirmative Action manuals, courtesy of employment law attorney, John C. Fox. Congratulations to Marcus Ballard of Bank of America and Sally Pabin of American Heart Association for winning these invaluable OFCCP compliance resources!

What a great week! On behalf of DirectEmployers Association staff, we want to thank each and every one of our Members, and we can’t wait for all the new ways we can show our appreciation next year!
