VetCentral: Your Trusted Resource for Jobs
“One tool, many solutions,” is DirectEmployers’ signature motto, and VetCentral is no exception. This tried-and-true solution has a 15-year track record of guiding both federal contractors and state veteran representatives in their pursuit of providing assistance and support for veteran hiring programs around the nation.
What is VetCentral?
VetCentral is the proprietary technology designed and developed by DirectEmployers to deliver federal contractor jobs for compliance with the Jobs for Veterans Act (JVA) and the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), provide priority veteran referrals, and act as a resource of current jobs for the over 1,800 local veterans’ employment representatives (LVERs) and disabled veteran outreach specialists (DVOPs), and Business Service Representatives throughout the country.
How It Works
VetCentral combines technology and automation to support DirectEmployers’ job listing services, a cornerstone of membership and compliance. Each day, this service is responsible for making over 4 million jobs available to American Job Centers (AJC) around the country.
Note: Following the priority referral, jobs are then posted on the state job bank.
For State Workforce Staff
Each day, LVERs, DVOPs, and Business Services Representatives located at AJCs around the nation receive the VetCentral email, filled with job openings in their area, that they can pass on to the veterans, military spouses and transitioning service members they serve in their communities in hopes of helping connect them with meaningful employment opportunities.
