DE Goes to Music City for NILG 2021 National Conference
In July, our crew packed up and headed south to Nashville, Tennessee, to attend the NILG 2021 National Conference – our first in-person event since before the pandemic! This conference was extra special for us because not only was our Taapestry brand a platinum sponsor, but our very own marketing team volunteered their time and expertise to create conference communications on behalf of the NILG.
RocketBuild Named Top Software Development Company in Indiana
Another accolade for the DE Family of Brands – this time for RocketBuild! In August, our custom software and app development brand ranked #1 on Clutch’s 2021 list of Top Software Development Companies in Indiana. Each year, the review platform honors Indiana’s highest-performing B2B companies based on a series of strict criteria and we were thrilled when RocketBuild topped the list for their category. Nice work!
National Labor Exchange Hits 3 Million Jobs
In August, the National Labor Exchange (NLx) – the only nonprofit national online labor exchange system in the United States, established by DirectEmployers and the National Association of State Workforce Agencies – reached an impressive milestone when it hit three million job postings. Just three months later, the NLx would add another million for a total of four million, wow! In today’s unique employment landscape, having a trusted source for authentic job openings will prove invaluable for job seekers and we’re honored to be a part of it.
Neurodiversity Expert Haley Moss Becomes a DE Consultant
As if August wasn’t exciting enough, we also had the privilege of announcing a partnership with neurodiversity expert, attorney, author, and disability advocate Haley Moss. First coming to the Association as a presenter at our 2019 Annual Meeting & Conference, we’re thrilled that Haley will be sharing more of her knowledge and first-hand experiences as an individual with a disability through webinars and blog posts in the coming year. Member Appreciation – 20 Days of Thanks
Each year we host a Member Appreciation Week in which we give thanks to our Members through a variety of giveaways, freebies, and prizes. This year, we switched things up in honor of our 20th Anniversary and instead of one week of festivities, we decided to do 20 Days of Thanks. To participate, Members completed a simple form and, between October 25th and November 19th, one or more daily winners were drawn at random for a variety of prizes ranging from gift cards to Apple AirPods Pro. In addition, all participants were sent a special gift which included a ‘You Rock’ coffee mug and Dunkin’ gift card. Take a look at the 2021 Member Appreciation stats below!

Recruit Rooster Wins 2021 Davey Award for DE&I Recruitment Marketing Video
RocketBuild wasn’t the only DirectEmployers brand doing big things in December. Recruit Rooster recently announced that, alongside client American Heart Association, they have won a 2021 Davey Award for their DE&I recruitment marketing video ‘You Matter Here’. Despite being among over 2,000 entries worldwide, the brands were honored in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion category of Online Film & Video.
