To kick off National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), the National Organization on Disability (NOD) has announced its list of 2023 Leading Disability Employers. Comprised of 65 companies, this list recognizes employers who prioritize diversity, equity, and accessibility–setting a high standard for others to follow. These employers earn the Leading Disability Employer Seal to promote on their website, social media, and in other marketing efforts, showcasing their dedication to the world.

Recipients are determined based on data provided by companies on the NOD Employment Tracker, which benchmarks organizations of all sizes in six disability and veteran inclusion focus areas, including:

  • Strategy
  • Talent outcome metrics
  • Climate and culture
  • Talent sourcing
  • People practices
  • Workplace tools and accessibility.

All participating companies receive a Tracker Scorecard to develop plans and priorities for improving employment practices and policies. Those with the highest scores are then recognized as Leading Disability Employers. We are proud to announce that more than half of those recognized are DirectEmployers Members!
