The “OFCCP Week in Review” is a simple, fast and direct summary of relevant happenings in the OFCCP regulatory environment published every Monday. Here are this week’s developments:
October 8, 2015: OFCCP Settles Hiring Discrimination Case with Fastenal Company. Fastenal Company will offer positions to 171 job applicants in Indianapolis and Atlanta and will pay African-American and female applicants $1.25 million in back wages. Each applicant will receive $148.30 plus interest as a result of the findings. The OFCCP also found that various employment records were not available in an alleged attempt to hinder their investigation. Fastenal did not admit liability but has agreed to discontinue use of their written selection tests and revise their recordkeeping practices to ensure they are meeting their regulatory requirements in the future.
