Due to the continued spread of the COVID-19 virus and prolonged social distancing recommendations, DirectEmployers has announced that it will transition its 2021 Annual Meeting & Conference (DEAMcon21) to a virtual platform, April 26-30, 2021. This move comes the year of its 20th anniversary, officially marking the Association’s role as the leading one-stop shop for OFCCP compliance, affirmative action/EEO, and recruitment marketing solutions.

DEAMcon21 Virtual by DirectEmployers Each year DirectEmployers’ annual conference brings hundreds of human resources professionals together for educational sessions on OFCCP compliance, sourcing, diversity and inclusion, and recruitment marketing, combined with ample networking and business expansion opportunities. The transition to virtual will not only protect attendees during the pandemic but open this unparalleled conference to a broader audience who may not otherwise be able to attend due to travel and budget restrictions.

“This year marks our 20th anniversary, and while we would love to celebrate with our Members and industry friends in-person, the health and safety of our attendees and staff remains our top priority,” said DirectEmployers Executive Director Candee Chambers. “Despite the transition to virtual, we will bring the same level of thought-provoking educational content, exciting keynote speakers, and the fun and personal touches our attendees have come to know and love. This will be our first-ever virtual conference, but we are dedicated to providing an exceptional attendee experience, and that’s exactly what we’ll provide.”

Keynote speakers for this year’s program include diversity strategist, author, and host of Career Mix on SiriusXM Torin Ellis, actor and disability advocate living with cerebral palsy RJ Mitte, and retired Army veteran and Transmilitary advocate Laila Ireland. These featured speakers will round out the diverse agenda featuring recruitment, diversity and inclusion, and OFCCP compliance tracks presented by industry experts and human resources practitioners. The daily, four-hour program will also include time for networking in the Virtual Demo Hall with conference underwriters comprised of related service providers capable of simplifying attendees’ daily tasks and improving organizational effectiveness.
