Creating a strong hiring presence in the military and veteran community is something that Recruit Rooster prides itself on helping employers do through their career site and digital footprint. Instead of telling people how you support veterans, show them through a mix of custom imagery, targeted content, and specialized search tools like an occupation or specialty code translator. Let’s dive in to discover an example of how Recruit Rooster customer Allied Universal is using the new Military Crosswalk 2.0 tools to assist in their efforts to hire transitioning military servicemembers, veterans, and even military spouses.
Monitoring for Change
Since 1957, Allied Universal has been keeping people safe, protecting its clients’ brands, and providing peace of mind in the form of security and facility services. With offices located across the United States, and a growing need to increase their hiring efforts, Allied Universal found veterans and transitioning servicemembers to be a large candidate pool to recruit from due to their skillset and training. Realizing the potential to brand themselves to military and veteran candidates, Allied Universal turned to Recruit Rooster to build their digital presence to veterans.
On the heels of the debut of its Military Crosswalk 2.0 platform, Recruit Rooster got to work creating a career site experience that illustrated Allied Universal’s commitment to veteran employment. Allied Universal took advantage of the occupation or specialty code translator alongside the traditional job search fields of job title/keyword and city/state/country as part of the new platform. Next, they implemented the new Base Locator widget that allows transitioning servicemembers to locate open positions within a company near U.S. Armed Forces bases nationwide. Alongside the Base Locator sits an array of veterans’ resources, native to the Military Crosswalk 2.0 platform, that offer a variety of additional resources ranging from employment services and job training to disabled veterans’ resources, military spouse and caregiver resources, and more. Coupled with strong impact statements and patriotic imagery as part of the leading hero image, veteran job seekers now can connect with Allied Universal on a site created just for their needs.
Relied Upon Results
The new Military Crosswalk 2.0 coupled with the additional Veteran Support page illustrates the high level of respect Allied Universal has for its present and future veteran employees. As this career site takes off, Allied Universal continues to make enhancements that speak their core message to veterans and show they are willing to go above and beyond to reach these valuable candidates.
