The month of November is National Veterans and Military Families Month, and with Veterans Day coming up next week, now is the perfect time to celebrate the recent winners of the 2024 HIRE Vets Medallion Award. Learn more about this program and see which DirectEmployers Members were honored during this year’s award ceremony below!

About the HIRE Vets Program

The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing (HIRE) American Military Veterans (HIRE Vets) Act of 2017 required the Secretary of Labor to establish a program, by rule, that recognizes employer efforts to recruit, employ, and retain veterans. Employer-applicants meeting criteria established in the rule then receive a HIRE Vets Medallion Award in recognition of these efforts. The program is broken into two categories, Gold and Platinum, and further segmented by company size (large, medium, small).

While the program began in 2018 with only 239 winners, this year, 838 employers were awarded Medallions. Congratulations to the following Members, as well as all employers who were honored!
