In 2001, 14 forward-thinking Fortune 500 companies came together with a bold idea—reduce recruiting costs, reclaim their employer brand, and later, reshaping the future of HR compliance. Guided by the “Father of Online Recruitment” William O. Warren, that vision became DirectEmployers Association, and in 2026, we celebrate 25 years of transforming talent acquisition and federal contractor compliance.
From pioneering the National Labor Exchange (NLx) with the National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) to building the gold standard in OFCCP compliance, VEVRAA mandatory job listing, and Section 503 solutions, DirectEmployers has grown from humble beginnings into a nonprofit powerhouse serving over 1,100 global employers.
