U.S. Employers Add the State of California To the JobCentral National Employment Network

Indianapolis, IN, August 17, 2005 – JobCentral, the Internet’s only job board and employment web site owned and managed by leading U.S. employers, announced today the addition of the state of California, including fourteen major metropolitan areas and 524 California cities to its recently announced national employment network.

The addition of Bakersfield, Fresno, Lancaster, Los Angeles, Modesto, Oakland, Sacramento, Salinas, San Bernardino, San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Clara, Stockton, Vallejo, and recently announced San Diego, bring the number of major metropolitan areas in the JobCentral network to 230 and the total number of U.S. cities to 6,237 throughout all 50 states.

JobCentral is a service of DirectEmployers Association, a nonprofit association of employers. The announcement was made by William O. Warren, Executive Director of the Association.

JobCentral provides job seekers in all industries and occupations, from non-skilled and entry-level to chief executive officer, up-to-date information about employment and career opportunities, and a direct link to employers’ web sites. The new employer-owned, low-cost job board alternative offers $25 job postings and presents a major challenge and competition to existing commercial job boards.
