While undergoing a recent audit, two Members of DirectEmployers Association were told by compliance officers in the Midwest region of the OFCCP that Vet Central reports would no longer be accepted by the OFCCP as valid representations of their jobs being listed with the local employment service delivery system (ESDS). We immediately began investigating this issue by initiating a call with the OFCCP’s Deputy Regional Director of the Midwest Region, who quickly was able to involve the Quality Assurance Director. The Quality Assurance Director was able to reach the District Director to see where the misunderstanding began, ultimately determining that, “Vet Central is, has been, and will continue to be valid proof that your Members have met their job listing requirements.”
While this misunderstanding created a bit of worry with our federal contractors in the Midwest, we have gained proper confirmation from the OFCCP that they continue to deem Vet Central as a valid tool for compliance reporting.
