EEOC has made changes to the process for filing EEO-1 Reports for 2015. These two paragraphs, below, from EEOC’s website will summarize the results: (1) You must get your passwords online – instructions are below; (2) companies cannot include multiple records with the same address AND the same NAICS code – explained below; and (3) you will need your EIN which will be required for all locations – again explained below. Go to EEOC’s website at http://www.eeoc.gov/employers/eeo1survey/sample_letter.cfm to view the sample letter being sent to companies which contains these changes.
2015 EEO-1 SURVEY CHANGES
Beginning with the 2015 EEO-1 filing, companies must get their passwords online. You will need the email that was used to file last year’s report to receive the 2015 password. If your contact person has changed, you must update the email contact in the system by sending a change request on company letterhead with the name, title, phone number and email address of the new contact person at your company. Your new contact will receive an email with login and password once your change request has been submitted. If you have any questions about this process you may contact the EEOC at 1-877-392-4647 or e1.techassistance@eeoc.gov.
You now have the ability to retrieve forgotten passwords online too. In addition, companies MAY NOT include multiple records with the same address and the same NAICS code. Multiple records with the same address and same NAICS code must either change the NAICS code to one that more accurately describes the location’s major business activity, or consolidate these records into ONE record. You may seek technical guidance at www.eeoc.gov/eeo1survey. Finally, Employer Identification numbers will be required for all locations.
