Each year, we look forward to hosting Members, partners, and industry leaders at DirectEmployers Annual Meeting & Conference (DEAMcon). As many of you have experienced, our conference genuinely offers a different feel than other industry events and is infused with the true spirit of education and community-like support for one another. Our 2020 event was no exception, as we had planned to host over 300 of the industry’s best and brightest minds for two and a half days of learning, networking, and general fun. Due to unforeseen circumstances and the growing health risk of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we have made the difficult decision to cancel DEAMcon20. With such a large gathering, the safety and health of our Members and the HR community at large take precedence over our event.

DEAMcon20 marked our 19th anniversary, and we have big plans in store to celebrate our 20th anniversary in April of 2021! To kick-start our efforts, we will be moving all current DEAMcon20 registrations to our 2021 event ticket. This means you will automatically be registered for next year’s event! However, if you require a refund for DEAMcon20, please contact DEAM@DirectEmployers.org to initiate the refund process, and we can easily provide a full refund for your conference registration (minus any discounts that may have been applied at the time of registration). If you are a presenter or underwriter, we will be following up with the next steps and additional information.

We are deeply saddened that we will not be able to see you in person at DEAMcon20; however, think of this as a necessary pause for the safety and well-being of everyone. Even though we will not be able to meet in person, we have plans to host a virtual networking event with conference underwriters, as well as educational webinars featuring speakers from the conference agenda–stay tuned for upcoming information, as we’d love your support!

This COVID-19 pandemic has had such an unprecedented impact on all industries, and we genuinely appreciate your support during this time. If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact any Member of our team, and we would be happy to assist you.

Stay safe in the coming months, and we look forward to seeing you face-to-face soon!
