Spring is in the air, and our Roosters are abuzz with energy as they tackle new product releases (hello, Talent Community!), career site rebrands, and launches left and right! Thankfully, this flock was not in hibernation mode this winter and spent the snowy season assisting employers just like you craft and develop their next release. Let’s dive in to check out the Penske Automotive career site that is helping job seekers drive their careers to the next level!
See What’s Under the Hood
Headquartered in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, the Penske Automotive Group, Inc. (PAG) is an international transportation services company that operates automotive and commercial truck dealerships in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Western Europe. They also distribute commercial vehicles, diesel engines, gas engines, power systems, and related parts and services, principally in Australia and New Zealand. As you can imagine, this Fortune 500 company employs over 23,000 individuals across the globe and is consistently ranked among the World’s Most Admired Companies by Fortune Magazine. When it comes to attracting talent, let’s just say they need the best of the best to continue their excellent service legacy. Always looking to level up, this automotive giant took to their career site to rev up their talent attraction strategy and job seeker tools.
Starting our Engines
After donning their finest work clothes, the Recruit Rooster team pushed up their sleeves and dove under the hood to discover the crux of what the PAG team was looking to achieve. As a long-term customer, Recruit Rooster was already familiar with the PAG career site, branding, and recruitment marketing efforts. After connecting with PAG, the Roosters quickly identified a career site refresh at the top of the list and suggested including Google Talent to level up the site’s job search capabilities and boost the on-page experience for job seekers.
Implementing Google Talent onto the site helps employers find the right talent faster by scaling to meet their growing needs. But what does this mean? For starters, PAG would experience an increase in quality hires as Google Talent works to better understand job content and job seeker intent, resulting in candidates getting matched to jobs faster. With time, Google Talent also uses machine learning to improve the talent acquisition process gradually by interpreting vague job descriptions and searches, industry jargon, and even acronyms!
Driving Results
From the signature “Start Your Career” button modeled after vehicle push-start buttons to the iconic Penske Automotive logo, recruitment marketing video, and even the accolades to tout to potential candidates, PAG has certainly leveled up their career site both in terms of functionality and visual appeal to engage candidates from the moment they land on the career site, all the way through apply. What’s next on the horizon? This innovative group is always looking for ways to advance their career site. As they monitor the positive impact of Google Talent, they’ve already set their eyes on the future–and our team of Rooster creatives will be there to help guide them!
