The April showers haven’t kept these Roosters penned up–they’re free-range roosters, after all. While this month kicks off a busy time for the DirectEmployers Family of Brands as we gear up for our 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting & Conference, the Roosters have hit high gear churning out recruitment marketing projects left and right, many of which have come full circle to upgrade their career site functionality with newly developed features. Let’s dive in to check out one client who’s using the new compliance-based Talent Community to help them build their talent pipeline for targeted positions.

Supporting Challenging Times

Service Corporation International (SCI) is proud to be North America’s leading provider of funeral, cremation and cemetery services. Since 1962, SCI has been serving families during their most difficult, personal and challenging times, and today, more than 450,000 families turn to them each year for compassionate and professional care making it crucial to have the right people in the right jobs as they provide support and dignity to those they serve. Since 2017, this organization has made the list of Great Places to Work and this is entirely due to their kind staff and special meaning their job holds. With over 1,500 job openings for various roles across North America, SCI sought a way to nurture and engage job seekers in their talent pipeline–and as luck would have it, Recruit Rooster had just the solution for them.

Talent Nurturing Solutions

Recently, the Recruit Rooster team debuted a one-of-a-kind product to the market, a talent community whose beginnings lie in compliance. The newly developed Talent Community offered SCI a way to increase their applicants and decrease their cost to hire by allowing job seekers to enter their information into the Talent Community and stay in touch with recruiters within the organization. For SCI, they wanted to target two positions specifically, sales managers and funeral directors, and their talent community is built to capture those job seekers through various forms on their career site, organize this data, and then allow recruitment teams to run targeted campaigns. As a bonus, the Talent Community also features a built-in compliance tip video library that provides alerts, guidance, and resources that keep federal contractors in mind, further uniting compliance and recruitment activities.

Dignified Results

As long-time career site clients, the Roosters knew just what SCI needed to fulfill their goals of building their talent pipeline and helping them attract the candidates for specific roles. This incredible rapport served as the foundation for SCI to grow and expand their efforts, and after incorporating the Talent Community into their career site on February 1st, SCI has seen 266 individuals join their Funeral Director Talent Community and 127 join their Sales Manager Talent Community. While they ramp up their efforts, these positive numbers are giving recruiters an increased ability to nurture and connect with this talent further and promote new positions when they arise.
