Workplace goals for 2017 are shifting, and while emphasis is being placed on technology and integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into many sectors of business, one thing still remains true–the talent within your business is still your number one driving force that will help propel the company forward. For years, employers around the nation have pushed for stronger diversity and inclusion practices. Forward thinking employers have long noted that diversity is a key driver in attracting and retaining talent, so it comes as no surprise that a major push for 2017 is workplace diversity.
In celebration of Black History Month, we want to recognize and applaud the efforts of our Members who are already leading the way to create diverse workplaces and setting the pathway for others to do the same. Each year DiversityInc. conducts an annual survey of over 1,800 companies and names the top 50 companies for diversity. Of the 50 employers who were named to the 2016 survey findings, 39 of them are Members of DirectEmployers. From Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), diversity recruiting and retention tools, community-based outreach efforts and more, these employers have made a concerted effort to grow their diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Congrats to each of the companies on this list who’ve gone the extra mile to foster workplace diversity! It’s been said time and time again that diversity is a major driver of innovation, fresh ideas and perspective–the essential ingredients that define long-term success.
This May, DiversityInc. will release it’s 2017 report and we can’t wait to see how many additional Members made the list!
