DirectEmployers Association announced the appointment of Jen Bernhardt as the Vice President of Member Engagement, a newly established department within the organization. In her role, Bernhardt will be responsible for cultivating greater member participation and more in-depth relationship building activities, managing an active online community and establishing measurable engagement goals that lead to the association’s future growth opportunities and strategic business plan. Jen will work hand-in-hand with the operations team to strengthen relationships with HR professionals within the association’s over 900 member companies. With a long history at DirectEmployers Association, she is well-positioned to promote and nurture member engagement activities. In early 2018, Bernhardt was named the Director of Member Engagement, a newly created facet of the association. Prior to that, she was a top-grossing sales representative on the Membership Development team and operated as a liaison to the marketing team, supporting member-based campaigns and programs. During that time, she successfully helped the association grow to 900 members while overseeing countless engagement activities and internal projects.

As Vice President of Member Engagement, Bernhardt will be tasked with establishing new levels of member involvement, both large and small, while continuing to work alongside each of the departments within the association. As a key member of the operations team, Jen will work to expand the various areas of engagement ranging from peer-to-peer mentoring and ambassador programs to member education and knowledge sharing that lend to the association’s long-term strategic vision.
