My very first blog post was titled “How a .JOBS Career Microsite Works… Using Pictures”. I am going to dust off an old classic and take another shot at explaining job SEO with as little writing as possible and as many pictures as possible.
On February 22, 2011, IBM released the microsite IBM-SAPConsulting.jobs. Below are three screenshots of the microsites. The results they have seen have been astounding.
.JOBS Microsite SEO works in steps. First we help the company win branded searches related to the term that the site is built around. Then we start winning unbranded searches (searches that do not include a specific company), and finally if the site is well branded we can even win passive job seeker searches (searches that do not include the word jobs, careers, positions, or employment). Below are three examples of the searches that IBM-SAPConsulting.jobs is currently winning.
BRANDED SEARCH = IBM SAP CONSULTING JOBS
UNBRANDED SEARCH = SAP CONSULTING JOBS
PASSIVE JOB SEEKER SEARCH = SAP CONSULTING

Hi Seth
Congratulations on the results, did you do anything different in the optimisation of the mobile website?
Cheers
